The Atelier
The Muhurtham is the core of a South Indian wedding, and it demands respect for tradition, worn for a full day of rituals in front of family. At Chirag Parmar Signatures in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, we craft traditional Muhurtham pieces in premium silks that drape correctly through every ritual.
A classic, hand-embroidered silk kurta set or a regal traditional <a href="/collections/sherwani" style="color: var(--gold); text-decoration: underline;">sherwani</a> in ivory or gold, depending on regional custom, is our standard recommendation. Pure silk is preferred for the core ceremony as it drapes well, holds embroidery, and photographs correctly under both daylight and temple lighting.
The Process
A direct consultation with founder Chirag Parmar on occasion, silhouette and fabric, with no sales floor handoff.
Choose from pure silk brocade, Super 120s to 150s wool, raw silk, velvet or linen, matched to your occasion.
A pattern drafted from roughly 20 to 25 measurements, including posture points a size chart never captures.
Fittings refine the fit, and embroidery is worked in-house. Most garments are ready in two to eight weeks.
