The Atelier
A DJ night is the one wedding function where the outfit will be tested physically, and the usual rules about structure work against you. At Chirag Parmar Signatures in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, we build DJ night outfits with the movement designed in: the same sharp silhouette, cut so you can actually raise your arms in it.
Half-canvas construction and a slightly deeper armhole give a jacket the range a heavily structured, full-canvas jacket does not, which matters when the night runs on the dance floor. A lightweight Indo-Western jacket or a fitted suit with a removable jacket both work; what does not work is a rigid, heavily embroidered piece that restricts the shoulder. Deep tones with metallic or bead detail catch club and stage lighting far better than matte fabrics, which read flat once the coloured lights come up.
The Process
A direct consultation with founder Chirag Parmar on occasion, silhouette and fabric, with no sales floor handoff.
Choose from pure silk brocade, Super 120s to 150s wool, raw silk, velvet or linen, matched to your occasion.
A pattern drafted from roughly 20 to 25 measurements, including posture points a size chart never captures.
Fittings refine the fit, and embroidery is worked in-house. Most garments are ready in two to eight weeks.
