From Convocation Stage to Executive Career
Graduation day at Bangalore’s premier institutions—including Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), National Law School of India University (NLSIU), and leading technical universities—represents the defining bridge between academic accomplishment and executive leadership. While standard ready-to-wear suits often bunch, pinch, or overheat under heavy academic gowns and commemorative stoles, a bespoke graduation suit is patterned from 20 to 25 anatomical measurements to ensure sharp, uncreased lines across hours of stage processions, photography with family, and celebratory banquets.
Architectural Suiting Under Academic Regalia
Wearing a suit under academic regalia presents specific tailoring challenges that mass-market off-the-rack garments cannot address:
- Collar & Lapel Geometry: A single-breasted notch or subtle peak lapel cut flush against the neck prevents the academic hood and convocation stole from shifting awkwardly during stage walk-ups.
- Breathable All-Season Wool: Long auditorium ceremonies and warm afternoon outdoor photo sessions require breathable 100% natural wool (Super 120s to Super 140s) with half-canvas horsehair construction that breathes effortlessly rather than trapping body heat like synthetic polyester blends.
- Clean Trouser Drape: Tailored trousers with a medium or high rise and a subtle break ensure a continuous, flattering silhouette visible beneath knee-length graduation robes.
The Lifetime Executive Investment
Rather than treating your convocation suit as a single-day costume, a bespoke navy or charcoal two-piece suit from Chirag Parmar Signatures becomes your foundational power suit for initial management interviews, investor pitch decks, venture capital meetings, and global business travel. Constructed with generous internal cloth allowances, the garment can be adjusted as your physique evolves over your early professional career.
Pricing and Turnaround
| Garment | From | Typical range | Lead time |

Our published starting prices and typical ranges, plus the usual atelier lead time before the fitting. Every commission is quoted individually at the consultation, because cloth, construction and the hours of hand embroidery move the figure more than anything else. Unstitched silks such as a veshti, panche or mundu are not included.
Standard bespoke commissions take 1 to 3 weeks including an intermediate canvas fitting. For sudden convocation schedules or visiting graduates, our Express Bespoke service can deliver finished suits within 48 to 72 hours subject to fabric availability.
