Bespoke Menswear · Basavanagudi, Bengaluru
Custom-made formal and designer shirts in Bangalore, cut to your measurements in two-ply cotton, poplin, twill and linen. Tailored at the CPS Basavanagudi studio.
The Atelier
A shirt is the garment you wear most and notice least until it fits properly. At Chirag Parmar Signatures in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, we cut bespoke shirts from your own measurements rather than a size chart, which is what fixes the three things ready-made shirts get wrong on most men: a collar that gapes or chokes, a yoke that pulls across the shoulders, and a body cut so full it balloons once tucked in.
Fabric first, then fit, then details. Two-ply cotton in 100s or 120s yarn counts gives you a shirt that holds a crisp finish through a Bengaluru workday; poplin reads smooth and formal, twill is softer with a subtle diagonal weave, oxford is heavier and more casual, and linen is what you want for April in Chennai. From there we set the collar (semi-spread for a tie, cutaway for a wider knot, button-down for open-collar wear), the cuff (single-button barrel for daily wear, French cuff when you want cufflinks), and the placket, before deciding on a monogram or a contrast inner collar stand.
The Process
A direct consultation with founder Chirag Parmar on occasion, silhouette and fabric, with no sales floor handoff.
Choose from pure silk brocade, Super 120s to 150s wool, raw silk, velvet or linen, matched to your occasion.
A pattern drafted from roughly 20 to 25 measurements, including posture points a size chart never captures.
Fittings refine the fit, and embroidery is worked in-house. Most garments are ready in two to eight weeks.
