American Indian weddings are typically held in large hotel ballrooms and banquet venues, at a scale that changes what works visually. With three to five hundred guests and a groom often seen from a considerable distance, detail that reads beautifully at close range can disappear entirely from the back of a ballroom. We design for that viewing distance, favouring stronger silhouettes, higher-contrast lapel and collar treatments, and embroidery placed where it registers from across a room.

The US time difference is the widest we work across, so we schedule calls for US evenings, which fall in the Indian morning. Fabric swatches ship internationally ahead of each consultation. Most clients arrange measurement and fitting around a trip to India; for those who cannot travel, we ship a basted trial garment to verify fit before cutting the final piece.

How does a large American ballroom wedding change the design?

What happens if I cannot travel to India before the wedding?

We take detailed guided measurements over video, then construct and ship a basted trial garment, a partly assembled version of the piece, so fit can be checked and corrected before the final garment is cut. This route needs to start earlier than a standard commission because it adds a full shipping cycle to the schedule.
