Bespoke Menswear · Basavanagudi, Bengaluru
Bespoke Nischayathartham outfits for Tamil grooms in Bangalore. Traditional silk kurta sets and veshti pairings by Chirag Parmar Signatures.
The Atelier
The Nischayathartham is the Tamil betrothal ceremony, and it is considerably more traditional in register than a North Indian ring ceremony. It is typically a daytime event at the bride's home or a hall, with the wedding invitation formally read out and thamboolam exchanged between families. Traditional dress is expected rather than optional. At Chirag Parmar Signatures in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, we tailor for that expectation rather than around it.
A cream or off-white silk kurta with a gold zari border, or a traditional veshti and angavastram pairing, is the correct register for most families. The palette stays deliberately restrained: cream, ivory, soft gold, and pale tones rather than the saturated colours that suit an evening Sagai. Where a family is more relaxed about convention, a lightly embroidered silk kurta with a fine Nehru jacket gives a contemporary edge without stepping outside what the ceremony expects.
The Process
A direct consultation with founder Chirag Parmar on occasion, silhouette and fabric, with no sales floor handoff.
Choose from pure silk brocade, Super 120s to 150s wool, raw silk, velvet or linen, matched to your occasion.
A pattern drafted from roughly 20 to 25 measurements, including posture points a size chart never captures.
Fittings refine the fit, and embroidery is worked in-house. Most garments are ready in two to eight weeks.
