Hand-tailored dinner jackets and black-tie ensembles created with pure mulberry silk facing, floating horsehair canvas, and midnight tones that preserve clarity in evening photography.
The Studio & Atelier
Black tie is judged on construction long before styling. The lapel should be faced in real silk or grosgrain rather than a synthetic substitute that flares under a photographer's flash, the chest should be half- or full-canvassed rather than fused so it moulds to you instead of bubbling by year three, and the trousers should carry a matching stripe. Get those right and a tuxedo reads correct before it is even fitted.
Colour is the decision most grooms overthink and most venues quietly decide for them. Midnight blue and deep bottle green read as black under warm banquet lighting while holding visible depth on camera, where flat black tends to collapse into a silhouette. Velvet adds the most depth of all, and is superb in an air-conditioned ballroom and genuinely uncomfortable at a long outdoor function.
Fit is the real dress code. Shoulders flat with no divot, half an inch of shirt cuff showing, a clean break at the shoe. This is where made-to-measure separates itself from a rental: a rental is fitted to the nearest available size, and the shoulder, the one thing that cannot be meaningfully altered afterwards, is exactly where that compromise shows.

The gold standard for wedding sherwanis. Known for its natural sheen and structured drape, silk brocade is often interwoven with gold or silver zari threads for ceremonial wear.
Best for: Muhurtham, Sherwani ceremonies
Premium Italian wool ideal for bespoke suits and tuxedos. The "Super" number indicates the fineness of the yarn. Higher numbers mean a finer, softer drape, well suited to evening wear.
Best for: Reception, Sangeet suits
Characterized by its textured, slightly nubby surface, raw silk offers a rich, matte finish. It is highly preferred for Indo-Westerns and Jodhpuris for a sophisticated, non-shiny look.
