The Golden Touch: Ivory Dinner Jacket
The Brief
For an engagement ceremony, the groom wanted a classic black-tie silhouette but with a distinct, regal twist. The goal was to echo the gold jewelry of the bride without wearing traditional ethnic attire.
Designer Notes
By keeping the body of the jacket in a crisp, clean ivory, the gold sequin shawl lapel becomes the undisputed focal point. We kept the button stance slightly lower to elongate the torso and emphasize the sweeping curve of the shawl collar.
Fabric & Construction
Ivory wool-silk blend for the jacket body, providing structure with a subtle sheen. The shawl lapel is encrusted with dense gold sequins. Trousers are a classic super 120s black wool.
