Chirag Parmar Signatures is a luxury bespoke couture atelier with its master cutting room located exclusively in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, roughly three hours from Mysuru via the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway (NH275). Operating without a retail store in Mysuru, our atelier crafts bespoke sherwanis, Jodhpuri bandhgalas, pure silk kurtas, and reception suits for Mysuru grooms and families, each individually drafted from 20 to 25 anatomical measurements.

Mysuru weddings tend to stay close to Kannada tradition. The muhurtham usually calls for a silk kurta or jubba with a pattu panche and shalya, often in cream, ivory or gold, and Mysore silk, woven in the city itself, is a natural choice for the groom’s stole. The palace setting and the Dasara season also make closed-neck bandhgalas and sherwanis popular for receptions and heritage venues. Evenings from November to February are cool enough for velvet and heavier brocade; for April and May weddings, raw silk with a light lining is the more comfortable choice.

Step 1: Consultation, Fabric & Master Measurements. We connect over a preliminary call to review your wedding dates and venue settings. You then visit our Basavanagudi atelier for your initial appointment, where founder Chirag Parmar personally takes 20 to 25 posture measurements and guides your fabric selection across imported Italian wools and rich mulberry silks (or your own heirloom Mysore silk).

Step 2: Basted Canvas Trial Fitting & Delivery. Two to three weeks later, you return for a dedicated basted canvas trial fitting to balance collar hug, chest drape, and shoulder slope before final hand-stitching. Completed garments are either collected in person at the atelier or dispatched to your Mysuru address via insured, tracked courier delivery.

Garment Flexibility: Relaxed silhouettes like pure silk kurtas and Nehru jackets can also be drafted from guided remote video measurements, while structured suiting, tuxedos, and sherwanis always include an in-person canvas fitting.

How far is your atelier from Mysuru?

Our Basavanagudi atelier is roughly three hours from Mysuru by road on the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway, which makes a same-day return trip comfortable. Mysuru clients often do fabric selection and measurements in one morning appointment and drive back the same afternoon.

Do you work with Mysore silk for wedding outfits?

Yes. Mysore silk drapes beautifully in a sherwani or a kurta set, and we regularly build garments around silk the client has sourced locally or inherited. Bring the fabric to your consultation and we will assess yardage and whether it suits the silhouette you have in mind before committing to a cut.

What suits a palace or heritage-venue wedding in Mysuru?

Heritage venues photograph with a lot of ornate background detail, so heavily embroidered garments can compete with the setting rather than stand out. We usually recommend richer fabric with restrained embroidery placement, such as a deep-toned brocade sherwani or a structured bandhgala reads far better against those backdrops.

How long does a bespoke sherwani take for a Mysuru wedding?

One to six weeks for a hand-embroidered sherwani, including fabric sourcing, pattern drafting and the fitting. Given the short travel distance, Mysuru clients can often compress this by scheduling the fitting sooner than our out-of-state clients.
