Bespoke Menswear · Basavanagudi, Bengaluru
Bespoke Sagai and ring ceremony outfits for men in Bangalore. Bandhgalas, sherwanis and tailored suits for the evening ceremony, by Chirag Parmar Signatures.
The Atelier
The Sagai is where the wedding becomes public. Unlike the Roka, it is usually an evening event at a banquet hall or hotel with an extended guest list, and it produces the first properly photographed images of the couple. The ring exchange also puts your hands at the visual centre of the evening, which changes what matters in the garment. At Chirag Parmar Signatures in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, we tailor Sagai wear around exactly that.
A structured bandhgala, a lightly embroidered sherwani, or a sharp three-piece suit all sit at the right level of formality. Because the ring exchange is photographed close-up, sleeve length is the detail we are most exacting about here: the cuff should finish at the wrist bone and show a clean half-inch of shirt, since anything longer swallows the hand in every photograph. Deeper tones, wine, midnight blue, emerald, hold up better under banquet lighting than pale shades, which tend to wash out under warm indoor light.
The Process
A direct consultation with founder Chirag Parmar on occasion, silhouette and fabric, with no sales floor handoff.
Choose from pure silk brocade, Super 120s to 150s wool, raw silk, velvet or linen, matched to your occasion.
A pattern drafted from roughly 20 to 25 measurements, including posture points a size chart never captures.
Fittings refine the fit, and embroidery is worked in-house. Most garments are ready in two to eight weeks.
