Bespoke Menswear · Basavanagudi, Bengaluru
Bespoke Nikah and Walima outfits for grooms in Bangalore. Tailored sherwanis, bandhgalas and formal suits by Chirag Parmar Signatures, Basavanagudi.
The Atelier
The Nikah and the Walima ask for two genuinely different registers, and dressing them identically is the most common mistake we correct. The Nikah is the solemn contract ceremony, often held in a mosque or at home, and calls for restraint; the Walima is the celebratory reception that follows, where richer fabric and detail are entirely appropriate. At Chirag Parmar Signatures in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, we plan the two as a pair.
For the Nikah, a well-cut sherwani or bandhgala in ivory, cream, soft gold, or a muted tone, with restrained tonal embroidery rather than heavy metallic work, suits the occasion and the setting. For the Walima, there is room for a deeper palette and richer construction: a fully embroidered sherwani, a velvet bandhgala, or a sharply tailored formal suit for grooms who prefer a Western silhouette for the reception. Full-length sleeves and a modest, covered cut are standard for both.
The Process
A direct consultation with founder Chirag Parmar on occasion, silhouette and fabric, with no sales floor handoff.
Choose from pure silk brocade, Super 120s to 150s wool, raw silk, velvet or linen, matched to your occasion.
A pattern drafted from roughly 20 to 25 measurements, including posture points a size chart never captures.
Fittings refine the fit, and embroidery is worked in-house. Most garments are ready in two to eight weeks.
