Bespoke Menswear · Basavanagudi, Bengaluru
Bespoke Mangni and Muslim engagement outfits for grooms in Bangalore. Tailored sherwanis, bandhgalas and formal suits by Chirag Parmar Signatures.
The Atelier
The Mangni is the formal engagement in a Muslim wedding, marking the commitment before the Nikah that follows. It is generally a family-centred occasion held at home or a modest venue, and the register is dignified rather than celebratory, which puts it well below the Walima in formality. At Chirag Parmar Signatures in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, we design Mangni wear with that restraint in mind.
A well-cut bandhgala or a lightly embroidered sherwani in a muted tone is the most reliable Mangni choice, with full-length sleeves and a modest, covered cut throughout. Ivory, soft gold, grey, and deep muted greens and blues sit better than bright or heavily metallic finishes. Where the Mangni is held at a hotel with a larger guest list, a sharply tailored formal suit is equally appropriate, and many grooms prefer it as it keeps the sherwani distinct for the Nikah and Walima.
The Process
A direct consultation with founder Chirag Parmar on occasion, silhouette and fabric, with no sales floor handoff.
Choose from pure silk brocade, Super 120s to 150s wool, raw silk, velvet or linen, matched to your occasion.
A pattern drafted from roughly 20 to 25 measurements, including posture points a size chart never captures.
Fittings refine the fit, and embroidery is worked in-house. Most garments are ready in two to eight weeks.
