The Brief
For the wedding reception, the client requested a look that broke away from traditional Indian wear while still commanding the room. He needed a garment that photographed flawlessly under dramatic banquet lighting.
Designer Notes
The lapel proportion was key here. We paired a generous peak lapel in smooth satin to contrast against the sequined body of the jacket. The internal structure uses a half-canvas construction to let the jacket drape naturally without fighting the stiffness of the sequins.
Fabric & Construction
Italian worsted wool base layered with dense, hand-stitched navy sequins. The lapels are finished in pure silk satin. Lined in a breathable Bemberg cupro to keep the wearer cool under stage lights.
