What Cannot Be Rushed
Dense hand embroidery is the one thing no atelier can compress. A heavily worked sherwani takes 150 to 400 or more artisan hours and typically one to six weeks. If time is short, choose a sherwani or bandhgala whose richness comes from the cloth, such as brocade or velvet, with detailing concentrated at the collar and cuffs.

With around two weeks to go, a sensible plan is to hold the consultation and measurements immediately, schedule the trial fitting within the next few days, and aim to collect finished garments with several days of buffer before the first function. If a ready-made outfit already fits your shoulders and chest, buying and altering it is sensible; if it does not, Express is usually the better use of the time you have.
